A manufacturer of truck caps and tonneau covers hurriedly built a dealer hub and a consumer ecommerce website using the same set of B2B commerce tools. The result: two solutions with functionality issues. To fix these issues, a replacement solution was required — one that offered a true direct-to-consumer (D2C) buying experience and delivered a dealer hub with order management, inventory management and customer interaction capabilities.
